Providence Honeymoons

Providence, RI has just recently become a booming city meshing its amazing old architecture with the new, bringing itself into the 21 st century.  Once a city that was only active from 9-5 it's turned into a cultural hub.  With a shimmering river cutting the city north to south and several parks along the banks, Providence is an alluring destination for any honeymoon.

You can walk down the cobble stone paved Benefit Street and transport yourself back in time when wealth was being brought to Road Island through the trade of molasses and rum.  Visit the Providence Preservation Society for maps to help you on your self-guided tour through the "mile of history". This isn't the only way to experience the old Road Island however.  There are other places to explore such as several other neighborhoods that have been preserved through time, museums and even a few libraries.   Road Island is draped in American history as one of the original 13 colonies, but that doesn't mean you can't experience other cultures in this modest state.  Federal Hill brings an authentic taste of Italy with specialty shops and fantastic restaurants all within a ¾ mile stretch.

With a diverse choice of restaurants, lodging that ranges from modest inns to the newer hotels, and shopping centers where you can find whatever you're looking for, Providence is a place that has a little something for everyone.

Because the state is only 48 miles long and 37 miles wide it's easy to also explore the surrounding areas to find just what it is you're looking for, making this honeymoon destination the perfect place for any couple to start making memories that will last forever.
